We recently restored a beautiful home in Long Beach, NY with our dustless sanding and hardwood refinishing services, carefully renewing the staircase and flooring while protecting indoor air quality. Our expert team brought out the natural beauty and durability of the wood with precision craftsmanship.
This Cedarhurst home received a complete white oak sand and refinish using a commercial-grade Loba finishing system. Every plank was trowel-filled for a seamless, contemporary surface, then finished with Loba Invisible Protect to highlight the natural grain while maintaining a true matte, “bare wood” appearance built for long-lasting durability.

Out here on the North Shore, we know that a home isn’t just a house—it’s an investment in a lifestyle. We recently wrapped up a massive project in Sands Point, and it’s the perfect example of why local experience matters. From the initial walkthrough to the final coat of finish, we treated this estate with the same respect we’d give our own neighbors. [Photography by @718Beard on Instagram] Living on Long Island, we know how much goes into a beautiful home. That’s why we started by taking the stress off the homeowners. We handled the full furniture removal and went above and beyond on protection. We’re talking museum-level care for the artwork, custom built-ins, kitchen cabinets, and even the closet shelving. When we work, your home stays a sanctuary. This house had some history, and the floors showed it. We performed a full dustless resanding throughout the entire residence, but the real work was in the details. The Fix: The boards had some serious gapping. Instead of a quick fix, we applied two layers of a custom, site-mixed wood filler to make sure those floors felt solid and looked seamless. The Upgrade: In the main living and dining rooms, the old walnut face plugs felt a bit dated. We meticulously drilled them out and replaced them with White Oak plugs, giving the floors a clean, high-end, contemporary look that fits the Sands Point vibe perfectly. If you’ve lived in a classic Nassau County home, you know the struggle: White Oak floors with a Red Oak staircase. To bridge that gap, we used Bona Red Out. It’s a specialized process that pulls the “pink” out of the Red Oak, allowing the treads, stringers, and risers to perfectly match the White Oak flooring. It’s a game-changer for getting that unified, “always been there” aesthetic. To wrap it all up, we applied three coats of Loba Invisible. If you love the look of raw, natural wood but need it to stand up to kids, pets, and the Long Island humidity, this is the finish for you. It’s a premium German coating that leaves the wood looking velvety matte and completely natural—like there’s nothing on it at all, yet it’s protected by a commercial-grade shield.
